Cantine Nicosia Monte Gorna Rosso (Nerello Mascalese / Nerello Cappuccio Organic) 2018 denis-clair Like the Dolcetto

Like the Dolcetto

The 2022 is crushed and hard pressed

meant that a wine had five hods of Aszú paste added to the base wine

length and elegance

I’m tasting this wine at ‘room temperature’

Cantine Nicosia Monte Gorna Rosso (Nerello Mascalese / Nerello Cappuccio Organic) 2018 denis-clair Like the DolcettoThe famous native Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes grown on high elevation volcanic slopes of Mount Etna produce a rich and complex wine with a great minerality and flavoursome aromas such as red fruit, herbs, spices and liquorice. On the palate, this volcanic wine is well balanced, with refined tannins and a long balsamic finish.
